After many years of playing, Akhtam Nazarov has ended his career with the flagship of Tajik football. Having become a free agent, the defender will continue his playing career at another team.

Akhtam played for Istiklol with interruptions from 2013 onwards, and during this period, he won all possible domestic tournaments with the team and reached the finals of the AFC Cup twice with the team (2015, 2017).

In total, Akhtam played over 200 official games for Istiklol, scoring 16 goals.
